Önder Tekeli is a seasoned oil and gas executive with over 30 years of expertise in exploration, field development, and business growth. He has held key leadership roles in national and international energy companies, delivering complex projects and fostering strategic partnerships.

Before co-founding Terra ENR and Altura ENR, he led operations at Genel Energy, TPAO, and other Turkish energy entities. At Genel, he played a pivotal role in increasing production from 50,000 to 150,000 barrels per day (bopd) and managed the construction of processing plants with capacities of up to 200,000 bopd. As TPAO’s Iraq Country Manager, he secured multiple oil and gas licenses through government tenders and direct negotiations, strengthening the company’s regional presence. His expertise spans license acquisition, project negotiations, stakeholder engagement, and large-scale field operations.

At Terra, Önder drives the company’s strategy to acquire and develop oil and gas assets, leveraging his deep industry knowledge and operational leadership. He remains committed to advancing sustainable and efficient energy projects in emerging markets.
