Iain Macleod

Head of Technical and Operations

Iain is a Development Study/Technical Manager with over 30 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, working with major Operators and Contractors. He holds a BEng (Hons) in Chemical and Process Engineering and an MSc in Offshore & Mechanical Engineering, with studies in Reservoir and Drilling.

At BP, he served as Technical & Project Debottlenecking Manager for the Chirag Field in Azerbaijan, optimizing platform and terminal operations and increasing export capacity from 90 kbopd to 140 kbopd. As BP Team Lead, he oversaw Phase 3 of a 250 kbopd terminal expansion and the BTC export pipeline through Turkey. At TNK-BP, he acted as Technical Authority for oil and gas field development, field expansion, and facilities projects. He also led Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) initiatives at BP.

His gas field expertise includes serving as Debottlenecking Study Manager for BG Group at the Karachaganak Gas/Condensate Field and working as Technical Manager for gas evacuation projects in Brazil. At Eni, he led the Gas and Cryogenic Services department and contributed to various gas monetization developments.
